Camping is the best, except when it isn’t. Tight quarters, rain, iPads, early rising 5 year olds are all things that can sour camping. But only if you let it. And I, too often, let it. It’s that part of my low patience personality that is counterproductive to a good camping experience.
Thankfully April is good at redirecting me and the boys and helping us to enjoy our camping experience. Right now is peak camping enjoyment. Cool weather, full belly, April on a run and the boys doing various things. Like most things in life, camping takes work. I need to work better at enjoying the tight spaces and closeness and noise.
Short post, I know. But Liam just came out and wants breakfast and I am so happy to make it for him. He is also called to the woods and loves being outside. I am looking forward to our exploring the next couple of days. Until next time, safe travels.
